24/7 Occupational & Emergency Medicine Solutions believes in innovation and affordability in health care support to industry. We excel in providing personalized health care solutions for businesses operating in remote and austere locations. Its leadership and health care team possess decades of experience providing military, occupational and conventional health services both within Canada and abroad. Excellence in health care is paramount with 24/7 OEMS employing only experienced clinicians who have nationally recognized certification in addition to extensive clinical and operational experience. 24/7 OEMS is dedicated to the physician assistant/physician extender model to implement cost-effective but expert care, supporting these extenders 24/7/365 with state-of-the-art telemedicine linkage to both family medicine and specialist physicians.

We currently provide health services to a number of remote mining operations including Dominion Diamond Mines ULC and Diavik Diamond Mines (starting 01 July 2019) while continuing to provide 24/7/365 on-call emergency medicine advice to the deployed Royal Canadian Navy worldwide. With decades of combined experience in there Canadian Armed Forces, 24/7 OEMS has a particular expertise in tactical medicine. With clients such as the Kingston Police Force, a large legislative security force and international executive protection officers for a large Canadian bank, 24/7 OEMS has a demonstrated track record in delivering this lifesaving training. A registered training partner of the Canadian Red Cross, we can grant all required first aid/CPR/AED qualifications while also covering the fundamentals of hemorrhage control and other key tactical medicine elements.

Based in Langford, 24/7 OEMS is lead by two retired Canadian Armed Forces members. Medical Director, Dr. Nick Withers, is a practising emergency room physician and a twenty-two year Veteran of the Forces, retiring at the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel. Dr. Withers is also a Clinical Assistant Professor within the Department of Emergency Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of British Columbia. Jack Buchanan is Chief Operations Officer and expert in provision of health care in remote mining operations. He is a practising physician assistant and in addition to his Masters in Physician Assistant Studies, possess an undergraduate degree in prehospital care. He is twenty-one year Veteran of the Canadian Armed Forces.
