Integrated Healing That Is Grounded in Scientific Evidence and Heart-Centered Movement It is very common at times in life to feel stuck, overwhelmed, stressed, lonely, sad, depressed, hopeless, worried, anxious, fearful, irritable, angry, and lacking motivation and confidence.
All these feelings can impact your relationship with yourself and other individuals in your life. I’m speaking from experience! The good news is you do not have to figure things out by yourself and I’m here to support you.
My educational background includes a Master in Social Work with a specialization in Mental Health, a Bachelor of Social Work focusing on Anti-oppressive practice, and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology. I have worked in the mental health field as a Social Worker for 17 years focusing most of my time in inpatient and outpatient hospital settings. I also have worked in private practice incorporating a number of different therapeutic modalities. In addition, over the past several years, I have taken a significant number of courses and acquired certifications in CBT, ACT & Mindfulness. I have also pursued training in Somatic Experiencing (SE) to enhance my professional skills working with individuals who have experienced trauma.
As a lover of movement, connection and community, I further have had the absolute pleasure of teaching private and public yoga classes for 12 years in both Toronto and Vancouver. My yoga students and colleagues have been the most profound teachers to further help me understand how different styles of movement can be influential in making the healing connection to the body-mind. My goal is to share this with you to restore your body to health.
