Hazelnut Health is a Nurse Practitioner–led primary care practice offering relationship-based, comprehensive family medicine for individuals living within 3 km of the Colwood clinic. Services include mental health care, chronic disease management, preventive care, cancer screening, minor procedures, prescriptions, diagnostic testing, supported by longer visits designed for depth, continuity, and whole-person health. Limiting the family practice radius strengthens community connection, supports active living, and reduces reliance on vehicle travel—aligning clinical care with principles of planetary health.
Travel health services are available to anyone, including full travel consultations, travel vaccines, private-pay vaccines, and Yellow Fever vaccination as a designated Yellow Fever Vaccination Centre by the Public Health Agency of Canada.
Private-pay medical services are available for individuals without provincial health coverage.
Workplace-based services are also available to local businesses on a fee-for-service basis, including on-site vaccine clinics, occupational health, and travel health support for staff. These services are arranged directly with employers and are not covered by provincial health insurance.
