The Grizzlies not only have a proud history of providing great family entertainment to a generation of residents of the Capital of Vancouver Island; but has a great reputation of developing elite talent, and helping young athletes realize their dreams. Countless Victoria Grizzlies have gone to NCAA Division 1 schools; as well as notable NHL draft picks, that include current NHL’ers like Jamie & Jordie Benn, Tyler Bozak, Tyson Barrie, 2019 1st round NHL Pick Alex Newhook and 2023 Nashville 1st Round Pick Matthew Wood. The Team provides support to various outreach and mentorship programs like Help-Fill-a-Dream, Wounded Warrior, Saunders Foundation, Our Place, and Santa’s Anonymous - just to name a few.
