We will be meeting at the entrance to Longworth Trail off of Latoria Rd. Meet near the address 370 Latoria Blvd. Review the map pin on our Meetup Event Page for more details and precise meeting spot.

Connect with people, enjoy ocean views, make friends, help out the community.... it is going to be such a fun day! We'll be removing invasive Himalayan blackberry plants from along the sides of Longworth Trail, the walking path that connects Latoria Road and Longworth Place in Royal Bay.

No experience is needed! Everyone is welcome! We provide instructions, gloves, tools, and snacks!

It's a great opportunity to meet new people, learn about environmental issues and increase biodiversity. :)

This activity will go on rain or shine.

WHAT WE PROVIDE YOU:

Gloves, tools and safety glasses
Education and demonstration on what we will be doing (no experience necessary!)
Refreshments (e.g. baked goods, veggies, fruits, granola bars)
Photos of you in action
Volunteer letters (on request)

WHAT TO BRING:

Wear clothes you don't mind getting dirty
Long sleeves and long pants to protect from thorny plants, & insects
Refillable water bottle with water (we have water for refills)
Sturdy closed toe shoes/boots
Hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
Your own gardening gloves, tools and/or safety glasses if you prefer - otherwise we’ll provide these.
