Beacon Community Services

Beacon Community Services is a community-based charitable organization providing wraparound services to individuals and families across Southern Vancouver Island and the Gulf Islands. Through more than 30 programs and services, Beacon supports people at different stages of life and through changing circumstances, helping them build stability, independence, connection and wellbeing.

People may first connect with Beacon through one program, but our strength is the broader network of support available across the organization. Through referrals, navigation, advocacy and community partnerships, we help connect people with the services and resources that best meet their needs.

Beacon also operates six thrift shops that provide affordable goods, encourage reuse and sustainability, and generate revenue to support community programs. Hundreds of volunteers further strengthen our work by contributing their time, skills and experience across the organization. Working alongside government, schools, health and housing partners, employers, funders, donors and community organizations, Beacon’s wraparound approach helps create pathways toward greater safety, opportunity, independence and belonging.
